Partners in Development Foundation, Kupa ʻAina Program✨

Since 1997, Partners in Development Foundation (PIDF) has drawn on ʻike kupuna, ancestral wisdom, to meet the needs of keiki, ʻōpio, and ʻohana across Hawaiʻi. We serve more than 176,550 people in 50+ communities on five islands through programs spanning early childhood, youth workforce development, and land-based learning.

Guided by E mālama i ka ʻohana, ola ke kaiāulu, care for the family and the community lives, our programs are staffed by community members so resources reach families through relationships, not referrals. PIDF empowers ʻohana to navigate challenges and grow self-resiliency, vibrancy, and healthy, secure communities throughout Hawaiʻi.

Volunteer Project: Kupa ʻAina Community Workdays (Laulima): Join us at our 5-acre demonstration natural farming project in Kailua as we mālama ʻāina and build community together. Volunteers help with weeding, harvesting, planting, and other tasks based on the farm's needs that month. Through laulima (working together with many hands), we are rekindling our relationship with ʻāina and building Kupa ʻAina as a puʻuhonua, a peaceful sanctuary, for all.
