We’re excited to invite you to participate in Read Across America Day on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Volunteers will gather in a central location in the Greater West Central region at 8:00 AM for registration. After a brief program, volunteers will head to classrooms across Bristol and New Britain to read “See Marcus Grow” by Marcus Bridgewater to grades K–2 students. Please register for your desired district on the next page.
If you have just a few hours to spare, this is the perfect opportunity for you! United Way is looking for volunteers to read to classrooms across the city to close literacy gaps and create opportunities for children to succeed in school and beyond. Together, we are United to End Poverty.
