For just $32.00, you can send a new book each month to a child for a year.
Why Early Reading Matters:
Early reading develops critical cognitive and language skills, sparks creativity, and strengthens the bond between children and caregivers. Research shows that having books in the home is one of the best ways to encourage early literacy and academic success.

About the Imagination Library:
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is the flagship program of The Dollywood Foundation. It reaches more children than any other early childhood book gifting program, and mails free, high-quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth until age five, no matter their family’s income.
Our Commitment:
United Way of the Greater Capital Region is proud to serve as the official local program partner for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in our nine-county service area. Together with The Dollywood Foundation, we are bringing the joy of reading into homes and hearts across our community.
Your gift makes this possible. Every donation helps put books into the hands of children who need them most—fostering a love of learning, strengthening families, and building a brighter, more equitable future where all children can thrive.
Your Impact:
With your support, every eligible child in the Greater Capital Region can receive a free book each month. These stories open minds, build confidence, and lay the foundation for lifelong literacy. Together, let’s inspire the next generation to — Dream More, Learn More, Care More, and Be More. TM
