Spend Valentine's Day with Emerging Leaders United! 

On Wednesday, February 14th from 5:00-7:00pm, join ELU and the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society (HATAS) to pack bags of food for participating students in The Feed and Read (FAR) Program.

The FAR Program (formerly the Albany Weekend Backpack Program) provides critical support to hungry children throughout the Albany City School District to reduce absenteeism and keep developing children in school and on track. Throughout the week, students receive a balanced meal at school, but the weekends often become a challenge for many. HATAS' FAR Program provides more than 500 children with a weekend food supply annually. As a result, many students see improved test scores, better classroom behavior, and decreased absenteeism.
